Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Danfodio Books collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have across our website and mobile apps.

Last updated: 2/14/2026

What we collect

  • Information you provide: messages you send through the Contact page (such as your name, email, and the contents of your message).
  • Usage information: basic telemetry such as pages viewed, clicks, and general performance data (when enabled by the hosting platform or analytics tools).
  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, and timestamps, which may be collected automatically by our hosting provider for security and reliability.
  • Mobile app reading history (local-only): in our mobile apps, we may store your reading history (e.g., recently opened books/pages) locally on your device to improve your reading experience. This data is stored on-device and is not required to be sent to our servers.

Mobile apps: on-device storage

Our mobile apps are designed to work similarly to the website. A key difference is that the apps may store certain data locally on your device, such as reading history, to help you resume where you left off.

You can remove this data by clearing the app’s data/storage or uninstalling the app (exact steps vary by device). If we add optional sync features in the future, we’ll update this policy to explain what’s synced and how you can control it.

How we use information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the website and library experience.
  • To respond to questions, feedback, or support requests.
  • To monitor for abuse, protect the service, and debug issues.
  • To understand aggregate usage patterns (for example, which pages are most visited).

Cookies & similar technologies

Danfodio Books may use cookies or similar technologies for essential site functions and to measure site performance. Depending on how the site is hosted, third-party services (like analytics or content delivery networks) may also set cookies.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us run the site (for example, hosting or analytics), and only as necessary to provide those services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Danfodio Books and its users.

Data retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example, for security, fraud prevention, or recordkeeping).

Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.

Your choices

  • You can typically control cookies through your browser settings and delete existing cookies at any time.
  • If you contact us, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your message information where applicable.
